Your Visit

September to June.

Tours of the Gaol are self-guided with 2 options. You can take a guide book, which is included in the admission price, or you can also a rent an audio guide at a cost of €2 extra per person. Both the guide book and audio guide are available in a number of different languages.

Cork City Gaol now offers a daily guided tour at 2pm. This operates on a first come, first served basis. Please note if you have a group of 8 people or more, these must be booked in advance. Guided Tours are in English only.

Cork City Gaol will be closed from 22nd December to the 26th December, inclusive. We re-open at 10.00 on the 27th December.

July & August.

There are 3 options for your tour in July and August. You can do the self-guided tour with a guide book, which is included in your ticket. You can also rent an audio guide at €2 extra per person. Both of these are available in a number of different languages.

We also run regular Guided Tours every day in July and August. The first tour is at 10.00am and the last tour is 4pm. The guided tours are in English and run on a first-come first-served basis and there is no extra charge for the tour.
