Your Visit

September to June.

Tours of the Gaol are self-guided with 2 options. You can take a guide book, which is included in the admission price, or you can also a rent an audio guide at a cost of €2 extra per person. Both the guide book and audio guide are available in a number of different languages.

Guided Tours are available to groups of 8 people or more, these must be booked in advance. Please note Guided Tours are in English only.


July & August.

There are 3 options for your tour in July and August. You can do the self-guided tour with a guide book, which is included in your ticket. You can also rent an audio guide at €2 extra per person. Both of these are available in a number of different languages.

We also run regular Guided Tours every day in July and August. The first tour is at 10.00am and there is a tour every 30 minutes up until 4pm. The guided tours are in English and run on a first-come first-served basis and there is no extra charge for the tour.
